Rockville Republican: Elwood Hunt at 9 o’clock today received a telegram from Asheville, N. C., announcing the death of his son-in-law, A. F. Dole, which occurred this morning. Mr. Dole, with his family, went south about two weeks ago in the hope of benefiting his health. Mr. Hunt left on the morning train south for Cincinnati to meet his daughter and her husband’s mother and sister, who are enroute with the remains to their home in Paris, Ill., where they are expected to arrive sometime tomorrow night. Mr. Dole was 29 years old, and was married to Miss Leta Hunt, in Rockville, five years ago. He graduated from Wabash College, afterwards taking up the profession of law. His health had been declining for several years. In all respects he was a model young man. – thanks so much to S for this one
